U.S. Customs and Border Protection has expanded its list of qualified parties authorized to collect duties on postal shipments, adding DHL eCommerce, DHL Global Forwarding, Seko Logistics, and GHY eBiz, bringing the total to 39 providers. This change aims to assist smaller e-commerce businesses in navigating complex U.S. trade requirements following the elimination of the de minimis exemption in August 2025. Duties will now be assessed based on origin tariffs or a flat fee, significantly impacting international mail carriers as they adapt to new compliance standards.
