Starting February 2026, Lufthansa Cargo will expand its A321 freighter network by adding two new destinations: Rome-Fiumicino and Algiers. The Frankfurt to Rome route will operate weekly on Saturdays, enhancing connectivity to Istanbul and Munich. Algiers will be serviced every Tuesday, joining six other Middle Eastern and African destinations. CEO Ashwin Bhat emphasized the importance of this expansion for providing flexible logistics across Europe. Lufthansa Cargo's network now includes 22 destinations served by A321 freighters, complemented by long-haul B777s and additional capacities from partner airlines, linking around 350 destinations globally.
