Emirates SkyCargo has added Liege, Belgium, to its freighter network, marking its first new freighter destination of 2026 amid plans for significant expansion. Liege Airport, a rapidly growing cargo hub, will now receive five weekly freighters, increasing cargo capacity by 500 tonnes. Three of these freighters will connect Liege with Chicago and Dubai, transporting temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, while the other two will carry e-commerce shipments from Hong Kong. This move enhances Emirates' European presence and strengthens Liege's position as a key player in the air cargo industry.
