Cathay Group publishes its traffic statistics for December 2025.

Cathay Pacific and HK Express experienced a record-breaking travel season, carrying over 126,000 passengers on January 3, 2026, following a peak of 125,000 on December 27, 2025. In 2025, they transported more than 36 million passengers, a 27% increase from the previous year, driven by a 25% rise in available seat capacity. Lavinia Lau noted strong inbound and outbound travel demand, particularly during the holiday season, with significant growth expected for Lunar New Year bookings. Additionally, Cathay Cargo saw a 9% increase in cargo tonnage for the year, maintaining strong performance in perishable goods.
