Cathay Cargo reports growth in December, with an increase in total tonnage for the year.

Cathay Cargo reported a 6% increase in cargo volumes in December 2025, with 152,175 tonnes transported, contributing to a full-year total of 1,676,726 tonnes, a year-on-year growth of over 9%. December's available freight tonne kilometres (AFTKs) rose by 8% to 1.38 billion, while revenue freight tonne kilometres (RFTKs) increased by 2.8% to 806 million. Although freighter flight sectors decreased slightly, demand for Cathay's services, especially in perishables, remained robust. Looking ahead to January, demand is expected to be softer initially but is projected to improve before the Lunar New Year.
