Vienna Airport has achieved its best year to date for air cargo operations.

In 2025, Vienna Airport achieved its highest cargo performance, handling 313,763 tonnes of freight, a 5.3% increase from the previous year, driven by enhanced connectivity and e-commerce growth. The Vienna Pharma Handling Centre also excelled, with pharmaceutical shipments rising 6.4%. The airport's strategic location solidified its role as a logistics hub for Central and Eastern Europe, with significant increases in both imports (167,568 tonnes) and exports (146,195 tonnes, up 8.4%). With ongoing improvements and partnerships, Vienna Airport is well-positioned for continued growth in 2026.
