Worldwide air freight rates have stabilized following a drop after the New Year.

Global air freight rates stabilized last week after a decline at the start of the year, with the Baltic Air Freight Index rising 0.6% but remaining 4.9% lower than last year. Rates from Asia remained mostly unchanged, while Europe and the Americas saw a recovery. Rates from China showed slight increases to the US and minor decreases to Europe. European outbound rates surged on transatlantic routes, while North America also experienced strong rebounds, particularly to Germany and the UK, despite slight declines to China and South America.
