Turkish Airlines has launched a significant investment initiative exceeding TRY 100 billion to enhance Türkiye’s aviation infrastructure and strengthen its competitive edge, aligning with its 2033 vision. This includes the construction of eight new facilities, particularly at Istanbul Airport. Key projects involve expanding the Turkish Cargo SmartIST terminal to handle 4.5 million tonnes annually, establishing a large technical maintenance center for next-gen aircraft engines, and creating extensive catering and digital operations facilities. These developments aim to generate 26,000 new jobs by 2026 and bolster Türkiye's economy and aviation sector.
