In 2025, the air cargo market demonstrated resilience despite challenging global trade conditions. Initially projected to grow over five percent, growth slowed after the U.S. imposed tariffs and ended the de minimis exemption for low-value Chinese exports. However, by July, transpacific volumes recovered as e-commerce platforms adapted to new regulations, while other routes, particularly Asia-Europe and intra-Asia, saw significant growth. Prices remained stable due to effective capacity adjustments by carriers. Looking ahead, modest growth of about 2.6 percent is anticipated for 2026, influenced by diversifying trade routes and strong demand in non-U.S. markets.
