Cathay is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026, commemorating eight decades of service since 1946. The festivities, themed "80 Years Together," will include various events and initiatives to honor its legacy and connection with Hong Kong. At the launch event, CEO Ronald Lam highlighted the airline's commitment to enhancing customer experience through significant investments and maintaining Hong Kong's status as an aviation hub. Throughout the year, vintage uniforms will be worn by crew members, and a special merchandise collection will be introduced, reflecting Cathay's rich history.
