Two Airbus H145 rescue helicopters have arrived in New Zealand as part of the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust's fleet renewal program, managed by GCH Aviation. These helicopters, designed for Helicopter Emergency Medical Services, will enhance emergency medical response and search-and-rescue missions across various regions. With advanced avionics and IFR capabilities, they promise improved safety and operational efficiency. The acquisition, supported by community fundraising and sponsors, aims to provide a world-class rescue service, with four helicopters planned, three of which have already been delivered.
