Turkish Airlines has announced plans to construct the world's largest air cargo terminal and an in-flight catering facility, with an investment of 100 billion Turkish liras (approximately US$2.3 billion). This initiative aims to enhance cargo capacity and global competitiveness, potentially creating around 26,000 jobs. While the specific location is yet to be revealed, Istanbul is anticipated to be the site due to its major airports. The airline, which operates in over 130 countries and has a fleet of more than 500 aircraft, views this development as a significant step in its growth strategy.
