LATAM Cargo Group successfully transported a rare southern white rhinoceros named Atanasio from Chile to Brazil on December 2, following over a year of meticulous planning with SPARX Logistics. Born in 2020 at Buinzoo Biopark, Atanasio weighs nearly two tonnes and is one of only three such rhinoceroses born under professional care in Latin America. This relocation supports international conservation efforts for the endangered species, with collaboration among various organizations aiming to enhance breeding programs.
