FedEx reported a consolidated net revenue of $23.5 billion for its fiscal second quarter ending November 30, a 7% increase from $22.0 billion last year. Operating income nearly doubled to $1.38 billion, driven by higher yields in U.S. domestic and international priority shipping and increased package volumes. Cost-saving measures also contributed to the positive results. However, challenges included the effects of changing global trade policies, rising wages, and increased transportation costs. Mixed performance across segments saw improved results for Federal Express but declines in FedEx Freight, which faced lower shipment volumes and one-time costs from a planned spin-off.
