The Port of Los Angeles is expected to maintain steady cargo volumes in 2026, with only minor declines in imports due to high inventory levels from previous frontloading. Port Executive Director Gene Seroka indicated that while inventory is elevated, there are no immediate concerns. In November, the port processed 782,249 TEUs, a 12% decrease year-over-year, but year-to-date figures remain slightly higher. Seroka noted ongoing trade uncertainties and retaliatory tariffs as challenges, but expressed optimism about finishing 2025 with over 10 million TEUs processed.
