Since 2017, Home Depot has significantly enhanced its supply chain, moving beyond its initial goal of a two-day delivery network. Currently, over 55% of deliveries for in-stock items are made the same or next day, a substantial increase from 2022. This improvement is attributed to nearly 200 new facilities, including market delivery operations and direct fulfillment centers, along with a proprietary shipping algorithm. The retailer also focuses on expanding product availability for fast shipping and has introduced a new delivery method called Relay to enhance coverage. Home Depot continually analyzes delivery failures to improve customer satisfaction.
