In the semiconductor manufacturing sector, tariffs and trade policy have emerged as the primary concern for leaders, outpacing issues related to talent and labor, according to KPMG's 21st annual Global Semiconductor Outlook. Approximately 54% of executives are focused on diversifying supply chains geographically, while 45% prioritize making them adaptable to geopolitical risks. Despite supply chain challenges, 93% expect revenue growth in 2026, driven by demand for AI and data centers. The report highlights a surge in semiconductor demand across various industries, notably AI, boosting industry confidence to its highest in two decades.
