Emirates and Dubai Humanitarian have launched an airbridge to Sri Lanka to provide urgent relief to communities impacted by Cyclone Ditwah, offering over 100 tonnes of cargo space on daily flights to Colombo for two weeks. The first shipments, including fortified biscuits from the World Food Programme, departed on December 9. Additional aid will come from the Sri Lankan Consulate and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Both organizations emphasize their commitment to swift and effective humanitarian support, having previously facilitated relief efforts for other disasters.
