Walmart has expanded its drone delivery service in metro Atlanta, partnering with Wing to offer delivery from six stores. This initiative allows customers to receive groceries, household items, and over-the-counter medicine via drone. Wing’s Chief Business Officer emphasized that this launch marks a shift from novelty to normalcy in shopping habits. Walmart's broader drone program aims to enhance delivery speed and accessibility, targeting five new cities and planning to reach 1.8 million additional homes in Texas by 2024, following successful operations in Dallas-Fort Worth.
