DHL Supply Chain has integrated a Tesla Semi into its fleet in Central California, where it travels about 100 miles daily and charges weekly. The electric truck was tested on a 390-mile route, carrying a combined weight of 75,000 pounds. DHL aims to add more Semis by 2026 as part of its commitment to achieving zero emissions by 2050. The company, which currently operates 150 EVs, anticipates that this addition will cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50 metric tons annually. DHL plans for two-thirds of its fleet to be electric by 2030, reflecting a broader trend among carriers to reduce carbon footprints.
