Nike broadens the responsibilities of its chief supply chain officer.

Nike has appointed Venkatesh Alagirisamy as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a new role created amid a leadership overhaul. Starting Monday, he will continue overseeing the supply chain while also focusing on integrating technology into the company’s operations. Alagirisamy has nearly 20 years of experience at Nike, having previously led global enterprise strategy in supply chain and sustainability since 2020, and he has held various roles, including COO of Converse. The company has eliminated the positions of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Commercial Officer in this restructuring.
