IMO Assembly to choose a new Council.

The 34th regular session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Assembly is scheduled from November 24 to December 3, 2025. It will involve the election of a new 40-member Council for the 2026-2027 biennium and the approval of the work programme and budget for that period. The Assembly, which includes all 176 Member States and select observers, will also adopt a revised Strategic Plan and several key resolutions addressing various aspects of maritime operations and safety. An awards ceremony will occur on the first day, recognizing significant contributions to maritime safety.
