The United States recently established trade agreements aimed at reducing tariffs with several countries in Central and South America, including Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Argentina, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Notably, the U.S. plans to cut the 39% tariff on Swiss imports to 15% and eliminate reciprocal tariffs on certain goods from Argentina and Ecuador. These agreements focus on improving trade relations, enhancing market access for U.S. products, and addressing regulatory barriers, with the goal of bolstering supply chains in the Western Hemisphere.
