Danone is facing challenges in meeting the high demand for its high-protein yogurts in the U.S. due to limited manufacturing capacity. The company's deputy CEO, Juergen Esser, highlighted that the soaring popularity of these products, especially among consumers using weight-loss medications, has strained production capabilities. This has hindered the rollout of new yogurt innovations. To address this, Danone is investing in expanding production facilities, including a significant upgrade at its Ohio plant. Despite these efforts, capacity constraints have led to slower growth, particularly in North America.
