Walmart has partnered with Wiliot to implement inventory-tracking sensors across its supply chain, enhancing data collection for its AI initiatives. These ambient IoT sensors are designed to improve supply chain efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cold chain compliance by providing real-time stock insights. Currently deployed in 500 stores, the technology will expand to 4,600 retail locations and over 40 distribution centers by 2026. The sensors automate alerts and streamline tasks, enabling better tracking of inventory at a granular level, ultimately supporting Walmart's goal of optimizing its supply chain processes.
