Maersk enhances its relationship with India.

A.P. Moller – Maersk announced a commitment to enhancing India's maritime sector during India Maritime Week 2025, planning a $2 billion investment to expand the capacity of APM Terminals Pipavav. This includes vessel reflagging, local partnerships, and improved port infrastructure aimed at bolstering multimodal connectivity. Maersk has established a new entity in Gujarat, flagged two vessels under the Indian flag, and is collaborating with local shipyards for maintenance. Furthermore, it is exploring local container manufacturing and partnering with educational institutions to develop a skilled maritime workforce.
