UPS and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) have reached a preliminary agreement regarding the Ground Saver service, which offers cost-effective shipping with slower delivery times. UPS CEO Carol Tomé noted that both parties have outlined the arrangement in terms of volume and rates, with further details to be finalized soon. The agreement would allow USPS to assist with last-mile delivery for Ground Saver shipments. UPS has faced a 32.7% drop in daily volume for this service, prompting the need for an efficient partnership with USPS to improve delivery performance.
