Wayfair will close its Erlanger, Kentucky plant by September 30, 2026, after opting not to renew its lease, affecting 215 employees. Terminations will occur in phases beginning January 1, 2026, and the layoffs will be permanent, with no union representation or bumping rights for the workers. This closure is part of Wayfair's strategy to optimize its logistics network, which includes expanding its CastleGate logistics service and introducing a consolidated delivery option for better efficiency and reduced costs.
