Kroger has announced plans to utilize DoorDash's new DashMart Fulfillment Services to enhance its online grocery and household item delivery. This partnership aligns with Kroger's strategy of leveraging third-party delivery companies for e-commerce, as it recently expanded DoorDash delivery to all its stores. The collaboration aims to provide delivery options in areas lacking Kroger locations, with DoorDash managing order fulfillment. Despite a 16% increase in e-commerce sales, Kroger is still working on improving profitability through various strategies, including evaluating its fulfillment network and establishing a dedicated e-commerce unit.
