FedEx is set to launch a new air freight route from Dublin, Ireland, to Indianapolis, Indiana, aimed at transporting healthcare goods and other valuable shipments, as announced by EVP Brie Carere. This route promises to expedite deliveries by one day compared to current options. FedEx has been enhancing its healthcare logistics capabilities, generating $9 billion in revenue in FY '25, and has received CEIV Pharma certification to ensure standards for transporting sensitive pharmaceutical shipments. Other companies like DHL and UPS are also expanding their healthcare logistics services.
