These large-scale development areas, typically over 125 acres, will allow the company to concentrate resources and improve logistics for customers. Most new sites are on short line railroads, facilitating connections to Union Pacific's extensive network. This initiative aims to provide shippers with better access to key markets, including international ports, and is part of Union Pacific's efforts to recover from past congestion issues.
