Atlas Air begins freight operations to Europe from Jinan.

On September 6, a Boeing 777 freighter inaugurated the Luxembourg–Jinan–Nottingham cargo route at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport in Shandong, enhancing the airport's international services and air logistics connections with Europe. Operated by Atlas Air, the service operates twice weekly, carrying mainly salmon and auto parts from Luxembourg and e-commerce parcels to Nottingham. The airport has also launched routes to Tokyo and Bangkok, positioning itself as a vital hub for cross-border trade. From September 2024 to August 2025, Jinan Airport saw significant cargo flow, particularly to Almaty and Anchorage, and plans to expand its services further.
