Starbucks is implementing an AI tool to enhance inventory management, developed with NomadGo, which is now active in thousands of stores and will be fully operational across North America by September. This technology allows for inventory counting to occur eight times more frequently, providing real-time visibility and more efficient replenishment. CEO Brian Niccol noted that high stockouts were unacceptable, prompting the need for smarter supply chain optimization. As Starbucks expands its menu offerings, these tools aim to improve ingredient availability and streamline operations, building on recent algorithmic enhancements.
