Amazon Air Cargo has commenced operations in the Dominican Republic, marking its first Caribbean market and second in Latin America after Colombia, in collaboration with ALK Global Logistic. The service includes seven weekly flights from Miami to Las Américas International Airport, utilizing Boeing 767 freighters with a capacity of 770 metric tonnes. This initiative aims to enhance logistics and trade opportunities for local businesses. ALK's CEO, Alfonso Aleman, emphasized the partnership's role in improving connectivity and efficiency across the Caribbean.
