FedEx broadens its gateway in Eastern Japan.

Federal Express Corporation plans to enhance its gateway facility at Narita International Airport to better serve the logistics needs of Eastern Japan. The expansion will double the current facility to around 8,500 square meters, featuring two warehouses and an advanced sorting system to handle increased parcel volumes, especially from cross-border e-commerce. The upgrades, set to open between late 2026 and 2027, aim to improve operational efficiency and support FedEx's strategy for stronger freight offerings, reflecting steady growth in shipments handled at Narita.
