Bilbao Port Authority allocates funds for the Border Control Post.

The Bilbao Port Authority plans to invest €534,052 to upgrade the refrigeration equipment at the Border Control Post. GIROA, S.A.U. has been contracted for the refurbishment, which includes reorganizing outdoor units and installing temperature recorders and gas leak alarms. The project is set to last four months, concluding in October 2025. The Border Control Post is recognized as one of the most advanced in Spain, featuring separate administrative and inspection areas, 15 loading bays, and facilities designed for optimal logistics of agricultural products. It also utilizes a telematic platform for efficient coordination among stakeholders.
