Menzies Aviation plans to launch a new facility at the Western Sydney International Airport's cargo precinct by late 2026. The company will operate a 22,500 sq.m. facility under a long-term lease, focusing on pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, and heavy cargo. Equipped with an advanced elevating transfer vehicle system, it aims to handle over 150,000 tonnes annually. This facility promises direct airside access and compatibility with autonomous vehicles, enhancing air cargo capacity in Sydney by 33%. The initiative is expected to create numerous jobs and support the local economy.
