Lufthansa Cargo broadens its presence in Asia through collaborations with ITA Airways.

Lufthansa Cargo is expanding its partnership with ITA Airways, starting 1 September 2025, by managing ITA Airways’ belly cargo capacities on routes from Delhi, Tokyo-Haneda, and Bangkok to Rome-Fiumicino. This follows their collaboration initiated in May 2025, where Lufthansa began managing cargo from South America. The new partnership aims to enhance connectivity and reliability for time-sensitive cargo. Pending regulatory approvals, the collaboration could expand to all ITA Airways’ flights, potentially increasing Lufthansa Cargo’s global bellyhold capacity by nearly 20%, solidifying its market position.
