Nexans collaborates with Crowley Wind Services.

Nexans has partnered with Crowley Wind Services to create a Jones Act compliant cable lay barge in South Carolina, aimed at enhancing subsea transmission for offshore wind energy and other industrial applications. The 300-foot vessel, operated by U.S. mariners, will efficiently install subsea cables, supporting projects like Equinor’s Empire Wind farm. With advanced features for precise cable placement, it strengthens the supply chain for offshore energy and telecommunications. This initiative also emphasizes maritime employment and the importance of the Jones Act in U.S. national security.
