Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and CSX Corporation have launched the Southeast Mexico Express (SMX), a new rail corridor connecting shippers in Mexico, Texas, and the U.S. Southeast, effective December 1, 2024. The SMX offers faster transit times, increased capacity, and sustainable rail solutions, benefiting automotive, intermodal, and carload customers. CPKC and CSX leaders emphasized this collaboration enhances connectivity and efficiency while addressing customer demands. Schneider National is also utilizing this service, highlighting improved logistics and reliability for their customers across North America.
