Cathay Cargo experiences a 6.3% increase in cargo volume for June 2025.

In June 2025, Cathay Cargo transported 132,462 tonnes of cargo, a 6.3% increase from June 2024, despite a 6.3% decrease in freighter flight operations. Available Freight Tonne Kilometres (AFTKs) rose by 5% to 1,222,569, while Revenue Freight Tonne Kilometres (RFTKs) grew by 3% to 714,659. The cargo load factor fell to 58.5%. For the first half of 2025, total cargo reached 800,753 tonnes, an 11.3% increase year-to-date. Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau noted growth in cargo from Southeast Asia and Taiwan to the Americas, while expecting ongoing demand uncertainties.
