Apple elevates a key figure in its supply chain to the position of COO.

Apple announced that Sabih Khan, the current SVP of Operations, will succeed Jeff Williams as the Chief Operating Officer later this month. Williams, who plans to retire, has been pivotal in creating a respected global supply chain and will continue leading Apple's design and health initiatives until his retirement. Khan, a 30-year Apple veteran, has significantly advanced the company's supply chain and U.S. manufacturing efforts, while also helping to reduce carbon emissions. Apple is also investing $500 billion in U.S. manufacturing, including a new facility in Houston.
