Walmart has launched its first owned-and-operated case-ready beef facility in Olathe, Kansas, marking a significant investment of $257 million and creating over 600 jobs. This 300,000-square-foot facility aims to enhance Walmart's Angus beef supply chain by processing and packaging fresh beef for retail distribution. By sourcing beef from Sustainable Beef LLC, Walmart seeks to improve supply chain transparency and resilience. This effort aligns with Walmart's ongoing commitment to U.S. manufacturing, with plans to invest $350 billion in American-made goods by 2031.
