ECT Aviation, based in Ireland, has received its first Britten-Norman BN2T-4S Islander aircraft, marking its foray into dedicated cargo operations. This aircraft will service high-frequency freight routes between Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport and key North African destinations, focusing on transporting valuable, time-sensitive cargo. ECT has also signed a Letter of Intent for a second Islander, set for delivery in 2026, as part of its strategy to establish a specialized cargo fleet. The BN2T-4S, with enhanced cabin space and modern avionics, is designed for reliable operations, including short and remote runway accessibility.
