CHI Aviation Handling acquires a stake in Cargogate at Munich Airport.

CHI Aviation Handling, part of the CHI Cargo Group, is set to acquire 74.9% of Cargogate at Munich Airport, with Munich Airport retaining 25.1% for a strategic partnership. Founded in 1974, Cargogate provides comprehensive cargo services, including customs handling, across a 17,000 square meter facility. This joint venture aims to enhance freight operations at Munich Airport while securing the jobs of around 150 employees. The acquisition is expected to finalize in January 2025, pending regulatory approval, and will continue under the Cargogate name.
