CH Robinson, Ikea, and other companies have come together to form a coalition aimed at testing heavy-duty electric vehicles.

Ikea, Electrolux Group, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, and DHL Supply Chain are collaborating with the non-profit Smart Freight Centre to test long-haul battery-electric vehicle operations along the I-10 corridor in the U.S. This initiative aims to enhance freight sustainability and reduce emissions. Ikea plans to transition its heavy-duty vehicles to zero emissions by 2040, while Electrolux is working with J.B. Hunt to electrify its fleet. DHL aims for net-zero emissions by 2050, operating 30% of its fleet with low-emission technology by 2030, currently deploying various electric trucks across its operations.
