Air cargo capacity has declined in late April and early May compared to last year due to freighter cancellations, leading to anticipated increases in air freight rates between China and the U.S. Intra-Asia traffic, particularly from China to various Southeast Asian countries, remains strong, with new freighter services introduced to alleviate capacity issues. U.S. demand is rising, although most shipments are still via ocean freight. Regional highlights include stable rates from Vietnam and increasing demand in Taiwan, while capacity remains tight in several areas.
