Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) has initiated Phase 2 of its intelligent cargo thermal detection system at SuperTerminal 1, enhancing aviation security through advanced technology. Following the first phase launched in December 2023, which allowed for temperature scanning before cargo loading, Phase 2 introduces scanning during cargo acceptance, providing an additional protection layer. The system utilizes thermal imaging, AI, and data analytics to monitor cargo temperatures in real-time, quickly identifying hazards. Hactl aims to maintain its leading role in safety and security in air cargo handling.
