The U.S. Postal Service has introduced Priority Mail Next Day, a regional shipping service aimed at e-commerce retailers to enhance its competitiveness against FedEx and UPS. This contract-only service provides overnight delivery for packages up to 20 pounds within a 150-mile radius of eligible processing centers. Currently available in 62 markets, it targets specific regions and allows shippers to negotiate pricing based on their needs. The service lacks an on-time delivery guarantee, which helps maintain lower rates while still aiming for prompt delivery.
