Subaru may incur a $2.5 billion loss due to tariffs unless it implements strategies to mitigate the effects, as highlighted by a company spokesperson. To address this, Subaru is considering increasing domestic production and assessing supplier capacity. Currently, its Indiana plant operates at a normal level of 350,000 units and is set to manufacture the Forester and Forester Hybrid starting this fall. Despite global uncertainties affecting investment plans, Subaru aims for at least $685 million in operating profits while enhancing productivity and exploring new revenue opportunities.
